About

Suriel is a Massachusetts-based hip-hop artist whose journey from humble beginnings to national recognition has made him one of the most compelling voices in the New England hip-hop scene. First gaining attention with his critically acclaimed 2018 debut mixtape Blank Slate, Suriel quickly rose to prominence with his raw, introspective lyrics that reflected his personal struggles and triumphs. His music has since been heard on radio stations ranging from local Boston’s JAMN 94.5 to the national stage on Shade 45 XM, where his unique blend of storytelling and lyricism resonates deeply with listeners.

Suriel's rise to success is deeply rooted in his past, having spent time living in a shelter home during his youth. His experiences shaped not only his music but his dedication to giving back to the community. Suriel has remained committed to supporting causes close to his heart, including fundraising for Emmaus Inc., the shelter where he once found refuge, and providing backpacks to children in need.

In December 2024, Suriel is set to release his highly anticipated new project, The Shelter Tape. This upcoming project promises to be a deeply personal reflection on his life, the challenges he’s overcome, and the ways he’s used his platform to elevate those who’ve faced similar struggles. Scheduled for release on December 3, 2024, The Shelter Tape is not just an album—it's a tribute to the resilience of those who rise above hardship, with themes of hope, community, and transformation at its core.

With his music and his mission, Suriel continues to inspire both through his words and actions, proving that success is not just about individual achievement, but about lifting others as you rise.

"You can turn the music off,
but you can't un-hear what Suriel
describes in his new song Runaway."
